Crime does pay, after all

Posted on January 18, 2003 Written by Diane

We have one day a week when the babysitter stays late; I have dubbed this “Movie Day.” So far we’ve seen two movies this way.

Being a parent: excitement is “Movie Day.”

Yesterday’s movie choice was between Catch Me If You Can and Chicago, and we chose the former. There were several reasons why, although paramount among them (for me) is that Catch Me If You Can was showing in the snappy new Galleria, whereas Chicago is at the run-down and kind of icky AMC theaters near us. Given how disappointed I’ve been in the majority of movies I’ve seen recently, I’d at least like the comfort.

Too tired to post tonight

Posted on January 17, 2003 Written by Diane

We went to see Catch Me If You Can this evening. Good movie, but I am too drained to do the review now. I am going downstairs to read a little more of the current novel I am working my way through, Colleen McCullough’s The October Horse and then (hopefully) get 5 or 6 hours straight before Simon wakes me up for his middle-of-the-night chat session.

The Internet is Good

Posted on January 16, 2003 Written by Diane

Have I mentioned recently how totally bonzer the Internet is?

I mentioned yesterday our AirPort hub broke.

Last night, Dan Winkler, a guy who used to work with Darin and who reads NKA, offered to send us his old one so it would have a good home.

Whoo hoo! We’ll have wireless networking way before we manage to get our hands on Airport Extreme!
