Via Saundra, a really cool Campari ad out of Australia.

Sexism in cover art

Posted on May 4, 2006 Written by Diane

In lieu of anything else interesting to say — at the moment, I’m on a mad spring-cleaning dash through old bank and credit card statements I never entered into Quicken; WOW but will I have a lot off my mind when I finally take care of these — I wanted to draw your attention to a hilarious and wonderfully creative look at what comic book art would look like were men’s bodies treated the same way women’s bodies are. (It’s NSFW, although, hey: there’s no actual nudity, right?)

Because no, a close-up of Superman’s chest is not equivalent to the treatment most women get.

(Alas, I cannot remember where I got this link from! Probably CE Murphy but don’t quote me on that.)
