Nobody Knows Anything

Welcome to Diane Patterson's eclectic blog about what strikes her fancy

About

Diane Patterson has been blogging for a long time. In fact, she started when it was called “keeping an online journal” and you had to “hand-edit” entries and the year started with a “19” instead of a “20.” She lives in California with her husband and two kids. She runs a lot.

Why is it called “Nobody Knows Anything”? It’s a quote from writer William Goldman, ostensibly about working in Hollywood, but actually this phrase applies to just about any person doing any thing any time in the history of humanity. Nobody knows what they’re doing. This is actually fabulous news: we can help each other and try new things, because nobody knows what’s going to happen as a result.
