lazy days of summer
there they were, both of them
Running news:
4.1 miles in the heat of morning. I did 9.4 yesterday, when it was overcast and cool. And 6:30am.

Yesterday I had the day entirely to myself, which is not conducive to journal entry writing. So I missed the first day in quite a while. Wow.

Okay, I'll admit it: I'm jealous that Lizzie's getting the messages asking for naked pictures of her.

Actually, I sort of wonder what goes through someone's mind when they find a site like Lizzie's, which is clearly the work of an intelligent, thoughtful person, and the reader decides to show appreciation for this work by sending e-mail...and then goes ahead and asks for naked pix.

Yesterday Darin and I had brunch at The Daily Grill, and then I dropped him off at the Boys'. I went home and watched movies all afternoon, including Shadowlands--hey, it was just there, I didn't seek it out--and wrote about 5 pages as I lolled about the living room.

Darin came home late, not feeling well. He hasn't felt well for a couple of days now--is there anything going around? He'd had an upset stomach in the morning, run a fever while over at the Boys' house, which made me even more concerned, but I sense that this is the kind of low-grade illness that you have to have for a week before consulting a doctor.

Today I did some good writing. I'm rewriting the Thesis Script, and as you've all had beaten into your brains by now, when I rewrite I rewrite. I kept the first 5 pages of the script (which really is a killer intro) and tossed everything else.

Linda, who really liked the first version and tried several times to talk me out of rewriting it, said she really liked the pages too, so I was happy to hear that. I'm going to drop the first act by Len's and get his feedback on it.

Of course, I also napped for 3 hours. This has to stop. No more naps!
