Undeterred, I tried my best to clean it out, and out came little white, pebbly crystals (I am guessing this is from the carbon?) and the water would not drain all the way out of it. Trying to put on a cartridge is very difficult as well. I would love to hold on to it for sentimental reasons, but am unsure about how to even begin this quest of repair.
